Hi everyone

This will be my last post asking for participants, I promise! I just need a few more people who have type 2 diabetes or prediabetes to complete my survey:

It has been approved by Diabetes UK.

Thank you so much in advance!
Becky

This has been approved, please help if you can 🙂

I’ve moved your post into the general messageboard @BeckyK - where it should hopefully get a little more attention 🙂

Done. Better than some surveys. Only a couple of questions were a bit daft!

Won't let me go back and look because I have done the survey!

Was in the later pages. There were a couple of questions where it was stretching a point to assign a degree of agreement to. Can't remember what they were, just struck me at the time.

I found I could not give an agreement or not due to the question being in calories, which I totally disregard.
There was one about diet soft drinks, do I only drink diet - well no because I drink lots of other thangs and total intake of soft drinks is miniscule - but would that be taken to mean I drink full sugar soft drinks? Trying to second guess what answers are the 'right' ones.

There are no right answers don't worry, and the questions are just a small overview, it is hard to capture all aspects of diet in the style of questions used.

Thanks for participating everyone 🙂

I thought this survey was only for newly diagnosed. I know that @Drummer for example was diagnosed some time ago.

However, it seems that the Survey suffers from biases such as assuming that everybody drinks soft drinks regularly, or cares about calories.

Hope are getting enough responses for your research @BeckyK

Not the case. If I remember correctly, it asked how long you had been diagnosed with options up to 15+ years.

It isn't 4 years yet I am still in the 'so far so good' stage mentally.
Maybe when I have got another couple of almost nearly normal Hba1c tests I will start to really believe it is over.

Done the questionnaire, don't know if it will be accepted as my hba1c is now 37, but that's only because I'm on meds and a v low carb diet. I know I'm still on the diabetic register and expect to be for a while yet as I don't know at what stage one is removed.

Basically, you aren't. I got out of the diabetic range swiftly and have had several Hba1cs of 42, but that got me marked as 'in remission' and in normal times I would still be checked and tested annually to ensure I remain that way.
