Diabetes UK, using funding from Bupa, has launched Type 2 Diabetes and Me ? an interactive online e-learning programme to help people with Type 2 diabetes understand and manage their diabetes successfully.

From diet to treatments and where to get support, all the information is there in five easy-to-digest modules, which can be completed at the user?s own pace and in their own time.

The new site provides sections on:

What Type 2 diabetes is and how to treat the condition, including glucose monitoring, medication, insulin, health information and the care to expect

Information on living with diabetes, including holidays, employment, driving, leading a healthy lifestyle, maintaining a balanced diet and physical activity

Details of possible health complications from Type 2 diabetes and to how reduce the risk of developing them.

Please let me know what you think everyone! 🙂

I have had a look but can't play the videos while I am at work

Has anyone else had a look yet? I think a lot of people can't because they are at work or everyone is away and haven't had a chance to yet.

I have done about 75% of the course so far. There are no surprises yet but it is a useful reminder
