Well frankly I'd be more inclined to go with what the manufacturers say. (I recently has a replacement pump but it's a repeat of one I'd had before - and the DSN insisted one instruction she gave me was correct so I immediately queried it, and said 'but OK if you say so'. Got home, looked in the handbook for the specific info - I was right and she was wrong - so I instantly emailed her and told Sorry - but that was duff info, see page X Item z of the manual.) I'm old and ugly enough to query it - but that does not go for all her patients so I'd feel guilty if I hadn't told her. Hopefully you can do much the same with your nurse.
