Hi to all
Can anyone tell me if i can still drive articulated lorries when diagnosed with type1.

Hi Glenn you need to (if you havnt done already) contact DVLA, there are restrictions as to what we horrible Diabetics can drive, best to get the correct info

If you inject insulin you lose any LGV, PCV, C1 and D1 entitlement and are you restricted to just 3.5 tonne and no more that 8 seats. If you have just been prescribed insulin for the first time you need to contact the DVLA straight away before you drive again.

I sent my licence to the DVLC when I became type 1 in May. As sweet guy said the new licence came back with just categories B and BE with renewal required in 3 years time....
