Welcome @Fp77 🙂 So you were misdiagnosed as Type 1? It’s usually the other way round - being misdiagnosed as Type 2 when you’re actually Type 1. How did your change in diagnosis come about? What meds are you on now?

Hi and welcome.

Would you like to tell us a bit about your initial diagnosis, how that came about and how long ago it was? I am guessing you are on insulin? If so which ones and what sort of doses do you need?

What tests have they done to clarify your diagnosis and are they planning to take you off insulin or leave you on it and add Type 2 medication on top, like Metformin?

Welcome to the forum @Fp77

How long have you been living with diabetes? And do you know what prompted your consultant to investigate the possibility that you may have been misdiagnosed initially?

Hi @Fp77
It will be interesting to hear what prompted this diagnosis.
