Hi my husbandwho has type one has a patch about palm size on his foot which is red hot to touch and slightly raised/swollen. Has anyone had this or know what it is.
Thanks for reading
Hi Gemma, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sorry to hear about your husband's foot - is it something that has appeared recently? I would call NHS 111 for advice if so, otherwise he needs to see the GP as it sounds as though it needs investigation. I was always told to report any problems with my feet immediately.
It doesn't sound like something that would be directly due to his diabetes, although diabetes can exacerbate some things. Has he been diagnosed long? How is his blood sugar control generally?
Been diagnosed a year yes it is under control - that's what he tells me anyway. Thank you I will go through the checker with him thanks for your reply.
