Type 1 newbie

Hi everyone.

I was diagnosed with type 1 three weeks ago (I'm 35) and I think it is time to come here and meet people like me (at least regarding diabetes).

I'm not going to talk too much about this first month, because I'm sure this story has been told thousands of times. Shock, underestimating Diabetes, finding out what it really is, a few days of bad mood, coming to the conclusion is not the end of the world...

I have a lot of questions, but this post is only for introducing myself 🙂

Looking forward to ask questions, meet people, and in the future help new ones.

Well I appreciate you’d really rather not be here, but given the circumstances it’s a very good place to be. All sorts of people, all sorts of careers and pastimes, and lots of experience.

It’s quite a learning curve, but as you say not the end of the world...it will all become second nature quite quickly...honest🙂

I was 44 when I was diagnosed, and there are quite a few others here with type 1 who were diagnosed as adults.
