Hi all!

Not really sure what to say, I had blood tests and they came back high.
Since then all hells broke - doctors and nurses ringing me.
I've been prescribed "Gliclazide" and have a nurse appointment on Monday. Other than that I'm lost!
Are they any good iPhone apps to record results etc?

Hi Keri
Welcome to the forum, fingers crossed for Monday for you

Welcome to the forum, hopefully you will have some more answers on Monday, but this forum is a great place for advice.

Welcome.
I like mySugr, the do a free or pay for version. I use the free one.

Hi Keir, that's exacty what happened to me. They will give you a blood sugar testing kit and a book to record it in, probably.

I'm on Gliclazide, initially it was 80mg twice a day, now 40mg once a day after I stopped drinking alcohol completely. (that's a bit extreme, I was an alcoholic. You probably won't need to go that far but reducing it really really helps). So medication can go down as well as up.

Good luck for Monday!

I think you are Type 2 Keir - otherwise Gliclazide couldn't help you at all! (you can't make a pancreas that's packed up making insulin, to make more - no matter how hard you try!)

Welcome from a Type 2.
