Hello all,

I was diagnosed with T1 Diabetes just over a year ago after ignoring all the symptoms for as long as I could. I'm probably the single worst person to have Diabetes, I love sugar and have no self control.

So I'm here hoping to find others who are even less suited to being Diabetic in the hope I won't feel so guilty!

🙂

Hi, welcome to the forum 🙂 I'm guessing it's been a bit of a struggle for you then, over the past year 😱 What insulin regime are you on and how have you been finding things?

Welcome MrSugarLover,I'm sure you'll find many here that can sympathise with your plight! I'm not a great diabetic either, not just because of what I like to eat but I'm too impatient and like to see instant results! Getting there but it's tough going!

I went from taking 3 injections of Novo and 1 Lantus per day to my current regime of 1 of each, so it's become much easier to manage of late.

Thanks for the welcome.

Only 1 novorapid? When do you take it and how many units do you usually need?

Hi there and a warm welcom to the forum MSL

Hello there!

Do your clinic/Dr know you have dropped insulin injections? It would be worth talking to them about it if you haven't already, just so they are aware.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I was just like you eating anything and everything that was bad (I still do but don't tell anybody) only difference now is I am able to adjust my insulin to suit what I eat.

I am sure you will get some great friendly advice and meet some great people here.

Hiya

I too am puzzled LOL

Have you been on a carb-counting course? - or do you merely avoid every carbohydrate everywhere until the evenings?
