I had gallbladder removed 1 years ago and have had problems ever since - with diarrhoea - which has stopped to stop with probiotics and stomach enzymes but my levels are driving me mad I just can’t seem to stay in range - anyone having same problems. I know about the pizza effect but mine is absolutely dreadful

There was confusion about your diabetes Type when you first presented with symptoms, wasn't there - assumed at first to be T2 because of weight and age, then you requested antibody tests and voila, you never had T2 and always had T1 - BUT - did you have gallbladder probs all along which affected your pancreas' ability to supply insulin or is it classic T1 caused by an auto-immune attack on your pancreas - do you really truly have Type 3c ?

I've got bog standard auto immune T1 and so far haven't had any apparent probs with my gall bladder, so have no personal experience of what you're saying.

Hi there. I had my gall bladder out in 1985, but that was a long time before I was diagnosed with T1. At the time I didn't notice any effect on my bowel movements. Now I have periods where BG is a bit uncontrollable, but I can usually attribute it to something like an infection, or having just had a vaccination, stress or using insulin that may have gone off, or any of the 42 factors that can affect our blood sugars. So have a good think if anything else is going on. It might be worth you seeking advice from your DSN.

I’m beginning to wonder - I think tbh my gallbladder has been a problem for over 30 years when I look back with trips to doctors bad stomach when eating certain foods and never ever been told gallbladder - then about year ago bang doubled over in pain - fast forward gallbladder removed with so many stones they stopped counting after 45 - but I’ve always had good BG - but not if I eat high fat especially cheese my levels take so long to come down - is there a test for type 3 - I was tested for type 1 and it came back I was type 1
