Two jail shift supervisors at the Irving Jail were fired Friday in connection to a recent inmate's death, police say.
The fired employees had been on paid leave since Nov. 19. In addition to the firings, two detention officers received reprimands and two others received counseling.
The firings are related to the Nov. 3, 2013 death of 37-year-old Sarah Tibbetts, an insulin-dependent diabetic. In December, it was announced that an investigation was underway into Sarah's death.
