Type 2
hi all new here this is my first
I am wondering how many type 2 diabetic men have had there testosterone levels checked I have been doing a lot of reading on the internet and a lot of study’s are showing testosterone therapy is helping them, just wondering what ppl thoughts are on this

Hi Darryl

Help them with what? Eliminating prostate problems? Erectile dysfunction? Male pattern baldness?

Hi
Thanks for replying. I have been doing a lot of googling on the diabetes and testosterone debate, when I was diagnosed with diabetes 2 years ago the doctor said I should do some research on the diabetes and when I started to look in to it I found lots of men had who have diabetes type 2 have low testosterone levels, in America quite a few ppl have been given testosterone therapy that is working for them and have been taken off the usual metformin medication, erectile dysfunction i here is quite normal for diabetes don’t know about prostate or male pattern baldness though?
Thanks

Hi Darryl - I've recently been diagnosed with Low Testosterone, following investigations into night sweats which I had thought must be diabetic related. It also can be behind depression and lack of motivation, increase of body fat, and if very low, osteoporosis. The fight to find the will to lose more weight, stick to a much better diet ebbs when after months of hard work you only make minor improvements. Endocrinology appointments are coming up, and I'm hoping will give me a very good way forward in hauling diabetes 2 in. Low Testosterone is about far more than the obvious.

Hello Debbie - we moved this year, and my former GP was dismissive of my night sweats at the annual check ups. Our new GP ordered blood tests on the first meeting having mentioned night sweats. Worth pushing a bit - can only rule it out, or include it as a possibility!

All you need to do to achieve what you wanted, was a one word post just saying - see next post.
