Treacle
I see myself as a train going through the countryside or town,
passing on the railroad, whistling pass the trees and shrubbery.
Suddenly the track becomes stickier, the train takes more of an effort
To get by, then the weeds build up on the train track
Then the signals keep saying red, and then as soon as they change to green
I start up, my momentum is building...only...only red light again.

The track is like a treacle, sticky and gooey
The train is huffing and puffing along
My engine is powering up, on all cylinders
This journey is normally quite routine, aimlessly going by
This treacle is making the journey trickier some of the time
But I will get to the destination, it may take a little longer
No matter, for I will emerge stronger and stronger.
Because of this treacle - the train learnt about
different fuels to feed his engine, giving him more skills
for the journey at hand.

All aboard
