Hi Lanny,
I ordered an Accu Chek Fastclix from Amazon, it came yesterday and it's great, far less painful than the CareSens the hospital gave me. My Doctor gave me a prescription for the lancets so I'm good to go now, far less worried about testing, and, there's 6 needles in 1cap! He's put them on repeat but with a warning that they may be removed by order of the NHS- all down to cost of course.!

Now you know you can change to the Softclix if need be: just have to change each needle manually!

Well Folks, I'm back from a 2 week holiday in Florida and I have to say I had absolutely no problems at all with my Diabetes!! In relation to my medication I managed the flight, all travel, the heat, more irregular meals and mealtimes that usual and change of time zone.I was so apprehensive before I went but there was no need whatsoever.🙂🙂🙂 So, if anyone is worried about travelling as I was, please don't be.
I loved my Myabetic bag, it kept everything safe and together (although I did have to take my insulin pens out at Manchester airport and put them in a small plastic bag to go through customs). I also got extra hand baggage allowance for it! Extract from Orlando customs "shoes, belts, pocket contents, electronics and food must be taken out of your bag and put in a separate tray please Mam". I said "I have my hypo kit, biscuits, sweets and Jelly Babies", "yes they need their own tray" she said. "what about my insulin, needles and lancets?", "No Mam, they're fine" !!!!!o_Oo_Oo_O

Glad you had a good time and that all your worries came to nought.
