Hi, My name is Jim, I have DBII and last year I had a trans metatarsel amputation ( TMA ) and I am currently looking for a solution to finding footwear that helps my mobility and balance issues. I have in the past 2 months been involved with orthotics and have received my first insert which I'm getting used to and it has helped me. I'm hoping a member in this forum could help me in discovering footwear that can inprove my mobility and balance.
If you need anymore info please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Kin regards

Jim

Welcome to the forum @TMA

We had a thread by a new member who was considering a TMA a couple of years ago, but unfortunately I don’t think they are still regularly frequenting the forum.

A member @Flower has been living with Charcot Foot for some years, and wears a supportive cast/boot to help, but I’m. ot sure that’s what you were thinking of?

Stunahome do a range of orthopedic and 'diabetic shoes' but only mail order and really for people with very specific requirement you really need to be able to try them on.
You may find Shuropody or Scholl shops have something suitable unless you need made to measure ones which may be more tricky.
My son in law had shoes made on the NHS because of quite deformed feet due to bunions.

Shuropody in Coventry has recently closed. Ruddy typical ain't it - never needed them before but now I do - they've stopped trading!
