Most people believe that the Conservative Party only represents the interests of the rich, according to a new poll.
The findings will come as a blow to the party which has faced consistent accusations it is on the side of millionaires and big business.
Last week Nick Boles, the Planning Minister and an ally of David Cameron, warned that the Tory party's biggest problem was "being seen as the party of the rich".
The survey's findings appear to bear out Mr Boles's concerns.
It found 51% agreed that the Tories only represents the interests of the rich, while 42% disagreed.
