Sorry not been on for a while, but I have been quite ill. 20th I went to docs with ear, throat and gland in my neck. Got anyibotics, erithromycin 500mg four times daily. By friday my two lower back teeth were throbbing and my face was begining to swell. I phoned my dentist. The receptionist said dentist did not work fridays. How very helpful, not. So on saturday morning my husband took me to an emergency dentist. He froze my mouth, drilled the tooth out, told me I had a severe abbsess and then filled it in again. He said the antibiotics I already had for throat would be o.k By the time we got back home my face was double the size before dentist messed with it. I phoned nhs direct and they had another dentist phone me. He wanted me to go to his surgery straight away. I was sobbing with the pain. My mouth was now swollen and solid as a rock. The new dentist drilled tooth out again, with no anatheatic, it couldn't hurt more than before. He left tooth open to relieve pressure. He gave me metronidazole 400mg three times daily. He said to get in with my own dentist to re-fill, when ready. I phoned on Monday and receptionist said they had run out of money and could not treat me, but they be ok by the end of october. I think I am going to put a tempory filling in myself. I am so upset about this. What do you all think?
