I have decided to have a frozen pizza for tonight's meal hope it don't spike me too much fingers crossed.

About 68 grams of carb in a 6in pepperoni. Trouble is you'll soon be hungry again after the carbs.
 
Eat to your meter.... Fortunately the high fat content in Pizza gives rise to the Pizza Effect..... Many people experience a lower & longer spike.

I have been known to consume the odd slice.....😳

I was lucky the other week, me and my OH were out in london (the day of the forum meet up) and I had pizza at Zizzi's for dinner, I had a rise of 2.1mmol after it (7.5 up to 9.6) but we did do about an hours walk after eating!
 
Pizza, along with a Chinese takeaway, is one of the nightmare foods. Pizza is both high fat & high carb which means a slow but excessive rise & very slow coming back down again. If you fancy making your own, there are lots of alternatives for the base. The best one I've tried is the Fat Head pizza base. I've posted it on the recipes section. It is very high fat, so be portion aware. Another alternative is a cauliflower base. Sounds odd but really works. Need a knife & fork for that one though as base is very fragile.
