I seem to remember a while ago there was a thread about this. Several people had a problem accessing this service and were going to private chiropodists because their NHS podiatrists no longer do it.

Since starting work for my local council, I have discovered that they provide this service for residents of this borough. If you're having trouble where you live, it may be worth asking at the council office - not somewhere I'd have considered going! 🙂

Thanks LeeLee. I appear to be one of the lucky ones regarding podiatry services here, although on my last visit I was informed that some services were now chargeable. Certainly, I wouldn't have thought to go via the council!
