I've got a little quandary 😱

I've been given a "take yourself out for a meal voucher" from work for being a good boy! (otherwise known as, go spend some money and reclaim it afterwards)

But... I've got my blood test for my HbA1c in just about 3 weeks.

I could of course be very good and stick to low carb, but I do fancy going out for a carvery. Which means..... roast potatoes!

I could of course wait a month, but then it's my wife's birthday and no doubt we will be heading out for a meal then too.

Ooooh mark the kind of dilemmas I like hehe.i would say go for it and let your self go,one meal out should not mean major catastrophe for your bs

Enjoy

Mark.....oh mark!!!.....do it....you no you deserve it...i mean like you said you been a good boy 😉 end of the day you need that guilty pleasure every now and again do you not??? go and enjoy....oh p.s reclaim the money back lol 😛

I wouldn't worry about it - a life lived in fear is a life half lived.
You go and enjoy yourself. 🙂

Uh oh, you said the ultimate words...Roast potatoes!
When you have been good almost all the time, how could you turn down sone roasty tatoes! I am sure it wouldn't have a huge detrimental effect on your hbA1c.....go and enjoy!

Mark the solution is quite simple just rehome the voucher to someone else.
Then you don't have to worry about a thing :D

Enjoy

HbA1c levels: one meal shouldn't make a great difference surely, but I'm no expert? I would say enjoy the reward otherwise what's the point?
If I'm wrong somebody will scold me but you have to have some comfort - at least you are theatening roast tatties and not heaps of puddings and chocolate etc 🙂

Enjoy life's too short not to have the occasional treat:D

You're pretty much quoting my doc right there! A one off won't do much at all! 🙂

It's not like it happens every day right? If it eases the mind, perhaps just moderation is key...?

Whatever happens, do what you want to do for you Mark T! Enjoy! 🙂

I would say go for it. As said above, 1 meal wont be reflected much in the HbA1c test, and even if it did, it would be ok as you would know it was just a one off.

Thanks for your replies 🙂 I'll probably have to treat myself then.

and sue 😛 😛 😉
