hi im new, only found out last friday, feel as if my lifes been put on hold x a bit nervous

Hi Tina2, welcome to the forum, it can be very daunting finding out about your diagnosis. Ive been diagnosed since august 2015 so am fairly new to all this too. But this forum is a great place for help and advice. You are not alone in your journey, although somedays it will feel this way. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like. There are alot of knowledgable people on here.

Hi Tina2, welcome to the forum 🙂 Don't worry, things may have to change, but the good thing is that diabetes is a condition that can be managed well with the right knowledge and effort, and people who put in the work often find that they end up feeling much happier and healthier than they have for a long time prior to their diagnosis - it's true! 🙂

The more you know and the less of a mystery everything is, the easier and less scary you will find it to deal with. I'd suggest getting a copy of [COLOR="
Blue"]Type 2 Diabetes: The First Year[/COLOR] by Gretchen Becker, which should really help to put you in the picture. Also, have a read of Jennifer's Advice and [COLOR="

, which will laso help.

Please let us know if you have any questions or if anything in particular is worrying you and we wil be very happy to help 🙂

Welcome, Tina2! It certainly is a bit daunting and confusing at first, but this is a great place, full of friendly, knowledgeable people who can advise and support you. I wish I'd found this place when I was first diagnosed!

Take a deep breath, ask any question you like, and be sure of support and encouragement 🙂
