I think I have finally hit rock bottom with the feeling exhausted thing and the diabetes not behaving itself lately and am taking a few days holiday next week that I am planning absolutely nothing for except getting myself rested and sorted.🙂

I have been to the podiatrist today to get my feet sorted. I have already booked an appointment to see the physio next week to get my heel pain (that I have had since May and is making me miserable now!) sorted. I have booked a nice back massage! My diet is good and I plan to maintain that next week. I am hoping it will be worth it and by next weekend I will feel much better and much less stressed.

I have never had a holiday with myself before (if you know what I mean) and I am quite excited!🙂

Sometimes we just need to look after ourselves.🙂

I thought I would share this with you.

Good for you Lucy. Me time is essential and few of us get enough of it. I hope you'll take some time to seriously pamper yourself in among all the appointments and come back rested, refreshed and ready for the fray.

Actually if you want a volunteer for a holiday companion, I could be it.

Think massage is completely undersold to 'ordinary' mortals like oneself - I mean rather than the sort who regularly spend money at expensive spas.

Going back 20 years I had a very reliable salon near home, hair and beauty. Prices were reasonable and I did spend both time and money there fairly regularly then. Even if their efforts didn't really improve the canvas they certainly improved my demeanour at the time - and when you feel good about yourself, you look better, don't you?

Possibly only to yourself LOL - but that's the only opinion that really matters isn't it?

I sincerely hope you get a good massage; wonderful !

I hope you have an enjoyable and refreshing break Lucy, good for you! 🙂 You've had a lot to deal with so you deserve some time to yourself 🙂

Good for you, have a good week. Time for ourselves is well spent. Much thoe I love my family I never feel I can give them my best unless I have some time to me as well.

Good for you, I hope you have a great break you have been through a lot over the last few months and deserve some time to yourself! 🙂

Lucy good for you, I could do with that right now, my gravestone will have on it i big letters, NEVER HAD TIME FOR HERSELF. Enjoy your break

I think we ought to be able to get back and neck massage on the NHS.

They'd save a helluvalot of dosh they spend on treating people who are stressed!

What a brilliant idea Lucy. I hope you get the rest you need and feel better for it and ready to take on the world again when you get back. Pamper away! XXXXX

Hope you have a lovely relaxing time Lucy, you thoroughly deserve it 🙂 xx

Ah thanks so much everyone!

I totally agree about massages on the NHS.

I have just found out that my beauticians have an offer on the massages at the moment so thats a good sign. However I see the sports physio on Tuesday with my heel and I am actually tempted to ask her for a back and neck massage instead. She is qualified in muscular skeletal something?? and I am sure she told me once she treats people for stress.

I might send her an email and ask her! What do you think?

Steff - try and find a couple of hours for yourself - it might help. maybe a lush bath?🙂

Hope your break does the trick Lucy!!

Well the break hasn't quite worked out how I planned it. I broke up from work on Monday really looking forward to my ME time and at 5pm hubby who is never ill and never took as much as a paracetomal came through the door on all fours in agony and we ended up spending all night and yesterday at the hospital/emergency gp's and physio. He has cracked a disc in his spine. He was in a lot of pain yesterday but today was much worse and is now on morphine - so I can't leave him on his own at all to do things I had planned.

I don't mind as he is in so much pain and I do feel so sorry for him, He is very athletic and runs every day as well as tennis and gym so as well as the pain he is having to cope with being still too.

Do feel I coulld cry at the timing of it all, but do love him to bits, so will look after him until he is better.🙂
