More than 120 people attended the first open day at Scarborough Hospital organised by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The event, which was opened by Scarborough?s mayor and mayoress, Andrew and Sue Backhouse, was aimed at giving people an insight into the daily workings of the hospital and the services it provides.
A spokeswoman from York health trust said: ?General feedback from visitors was that it was fantastic to have an open day in Scarborough and that the information provided was exceptional.?
Visitor comments included: ?The services provided at this hospital are superb and the staff were very friendly and it was very informative.?
