Thousands of people have signed a petition in support of an award-winning eating disorder service in the region.
An online petition calling on NHS England to save the Richardson Eating Disorder Service (REDS) in Newcastle has attracted more than 2,300 signatures in just two weeks.
The petition was set up by the North East Eating Disorder Action Group (NEEDAG) which is fighting to save 10 inpatient beds at the REDS unit in Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary.
