Hi All
I'm Monica, mum to daughter C, who was diagnosed March 2007 aged 10. I'm also mum to daughter F who is 3 years younger and not diabetic, but worrying as she's 10 now.
We went to Clinic last Thursday. Her HbA1C was 6.9. We were happy with the result, but unfortunately this result is only because C had quite a few unexplained hypos 😱. The doctor would like C to go on a pump ( I assume because of those hypos), but C doesn't want to. He also showed us how to calculate the insulin a different way (same as pump users), which at first scared me. But then thinking about it I realised that I just simply needed to know the times tables.
I have been looking and commenting on threads here before I introduced myself because I wasn't sure whether I'd continue visiting here.
