ok, so done a little research, although the drug is used to treat depression it is prescribed in lower doses to treat/pain relief for migranes, neuralga pain and face and jaw problems in general! Guess the gp does know his stuff after all. dont know what to do now, will sleep on it and decide tomorrow. 🙄

guess if i get any side effects i can stop, and it said should only be prescribed for 3 months, what then?

Tracey, it may be worth getting your eyes checked and telling them about the pain, if it starts behind your eye. Also a check with the dentist may be a good idea to rule out anything that may be causing the pain from there.

Re the anti-depressants, - guess you need to weigh up how much the pain is affecting your day-to-day life and wheather it might be worth trying them? But I guess you already know this and that's why your sleeping on it! Hope you have a peaceful night.
