Glad your calf is feeling better.

Hope you have a speedy recovery

I'm glad you are home now and wish you a quick recovery. Really bad treatment to be kept waiting until 5pm for the op though, no wonder you felt so ill. Best wishes.

Simon, the district nurse can come to you to do your dressings/aftercare so stand your ground. You can't be expected to fork out that amount of money, it's not justifiable!

Glad you're home and wishing you a speedy recovery 🙂🙂

So glad to hear that all went well and that you are home. Not good about the wait though and no food. Let's hope that it all goes well now and that you make a speedy recovery. Disgusted that they insist that you go to the surgery for your dressings, certainly worth trying to persuade them otherwise. Good luck! May you feel better soon. Sending you a hug ()

Glad it's all over with now. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Simon, I'm so glad to read you have had your operation. I hope you stick up for your rights and make the dn come to you. You can't be expected to get to the dr's surgery after having a nasty operation. Take care and get plenty of rest.

I'm surprised that DN won't come to your house, Simon. Perhaps the "system" doesn't realise about your mobility problems? DN may be able to change arrangements when you reach. However, whatever you do, do get wound & dressing changed when you were told to - not wanting to scare you, but if it goes wrong at the beginning, your foot might never recover, leading to further problems. Good news, of course, is that you say your calf is feeling better, so you may actually be able to walk further now than before op. Do you have any walking aids - sticks or crutches? If you need them, then phone GP or surgical team who did op to arrange, as it's important that you get measured and shown how to use them properly.

If you can't walk all the way to GP surgery to get dressing changed, is there a bus for at least part of the way, which would be cheaper than taxi?
