My best friend is always at my side
Through night and through day
To cuddle up to or take a walk
Or even just to play
I throw a ball;
She brings it back
Automatically;
No need to ask
She follows me everywhere
Protects me from harm
If someones at the door
She raises the alarm
I don't have to talk to her
She know's what's in my head
She knows when I'm happy or sad
No words need to be said
She's soft and gentle
Yet hyper too
Far more energetic
Than me or you
My best friend is a simple soul
and thats to say the least
All she asks is for her water bowl
And twice a day a feast
And when time comes to go to bed
She sits and waits for me
And when I reach the top of the stairs
She's still sat patiently
I don't need a teddy bear
When I have a dog like her
Her deep black muzzle
And the softness of her fur.
I'm in bed now
Time to get some rest
My furry friend is lay next to me
And I guess for that I'm blessed
To have a friend like Tess.
I got reeeeeally boredd..
