Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
In January I was getting all the same symptoms I got when I was first diagnosed type 2 in November. So went to see the GP who decided to do a blood test. The results were that my Pottasium is high and the GP has no idea what to do! I have to wait until next week for her to phone me with a forward plan.
In the meantime I had a fasting blood for my check up with the diabetes nurse today and had my blood pressure taken which was 124/80, the nurse said perfect. She looded at my blood results and said that 3.55 was brilliant as they aim for that, and my chloesterol is good too, right where it should be. The mystery is as I said to the nurse in the last month I have been stuffing chocolate biscuits as I have been craving them! And yet my fasting blood and chloesterol are perfect! She then went on to say if you said you only ate a lettuce leaf I not sure I would believe it! (I am overweight). My answer was funny you mentioned that as for the last year I have been taking lettuce and tomato, 4 crispbreads and low fat yoghurt to work for lunch! And still not lost weight.
Sorry just need to vent somewhere!

That is a mystery chris! Not quite sure what the 3.55 refers to though, I haven't encountered a blood test with numbers like that in relation to diabetes - do you know what the test was called?

Sounds more like a perfect Thyroid Function test result than blood glucose LOL

To be fair it might of said 3.5 I was looking from the side! Think it was mmol I am still confused as to what the different readings are.

I find wen I ma confused if I ask the doctor I am lucky if I get one or two words and if I ask the nurse I get several volumes and much more than I need...
