So I was thinking about what I learnt this weekend and thought I'd see if anyone else learnt anything interesting.

Apparently ice cream isn't a good idea in any amount... 😱 and my other half shouldn't be left in control of a crow bar and a car on his own. There's a very small head attached to the lump on his forehead! 🙄

How about you?

I learned not to be so cynical! 🙄

Hope hubby's head grows back to normal size and the 'lump' attached is just his normal body again soon! 😉

Normally wouldn't recommend 'diabetic' foods, but there is an ice cream called 'Frank's' that some people have tried and it has less of an effect on levels than the ordinary stuff. It's also better eaten as part of a main meal (after, not on the plate with the meat and veg!) as this can help to lower the glycaemic load. However, if you find it spikes you, better to stay away from it altogether!

I've learnt however daft I like nuts hated them for years, have taken a shine to roasted peanuts, r they good for me ?

I eat a lot (too many!) peanuts. They are slightly higher carb than a lot of other nuts, but better for you than many alternative snacks I believe. They also have a lot of calories. Almonds or walnuts are supposed to be better for you.

Ah I can't quite turn it around to like almonds to mourish for me but I'll try walnuts, can they be the candied ones we use at work :D

They'll be fine, as long as you get a non-diabetic colleague or customer to lick the candy coating off first 😉 😱

I've learnt that sometimes it's best to say what you think (even to your in laws !!) . It can be liberating, the challenge is to say things in a cool calm and collected manner otherwise you get accused of being rude !

You didn't tell your MIL that her bum looked big in that, did you? 😱 😉

I'm yet to overcome that hurdle lol

I learnt lots of things this weekend, including:
- I am rubbish at dyeing shoes
- It is very difficult to find anything I am prepared to eat for lunch in Kingsbury

I've learnt that trying to go up a step ladder to change a light bulb with my leg in a plaster cast is a really really stupid thing to do. In my defence my blood sugar had been 2.5 about 15 minutes before my attempt.

Clearly, the 'balance of your mind was disturbed'! 😱 Hope you didn't hurt yourself further!

Haha no I didn't say that !! - I'm not THAT horrible ! (Although I'm pretty sure it wouldn't look small in that !) 😉

I dont know how successful I was steff - I politely told her to stop fussing about the pregnancy, and that everything will be fine. she means well but my goodness she really can be irritating. whether she got the message or not is a different matter !! Time will tell. I'm working my a**e off in this pregnancy and really don't want or need any negativity from anyone 😉

Oh my goodness ! Hope you didn't hurt yourself in the process !,

I learnt that dancing along to Strictly serves two purposes - amusing my girls and lowering my BS. I could have done without the comments about my bum getting in the way of the tele😛🙄
