Let’s set the record straight. There is no such thing as “reversing diabetes.” According to an article from American Diabetes Association the outcome could be “remission,” but a “quick fix” isn’t the answer to the lifestyle modification that people living with this chronic condition should be seeking.

For me, this is the standout comment (my bold text) since in clinical terms 'remission' means no signs or symptoms:-

In some individuals, diabetes can be successfully managed to the point where people attain sustained normal glucose levels without the need/use for any diabetes medications. This is known as remission, and is not a reversal, or cure.

Yet despite this the term 'reversal' is still widely used, even by HCPs. Even my surgery are running what they call a T2 Diabetes Reversal Programme. You'd think they'd know better.

Your quoted statement should make clear it's talking about Type 2 and should replace the word 'remission' with the phrase 'Good Control'. The word 'normal' should be dropped also and replaced by 'target' since a Type 2 Diabetic will never achieve 'normal' bg levels by definition.
