Missouri State University student Tommy Napieralski doesn't have insurance and estimates he spends more than $3,000 a year on the insulin he needs to control his diabetes.

When someone stole his backpack containing most of his insulin from his car on Nov. 17, it left him in a panic.

How was he going to buy more? How would he manage until then?

Napieralski's irate father, Richard Napieralski, posted a sign in the front yard of his son's rental home asking the thief to return the insulin.

Thank goodness for the NHS! 😱

Hope he gets it back - or some kind person offers to pay for replacement.

Never a good idea to leave a rucksack on show in a car or in unlocked car(admittedly, not clear from this article that it was on show or unlocked) - and never a good idea to leave insulin inside a car, because of risk of loss / theft, plus temperature extremes.
