The UK's coronavirus policy may sound scientific. It isn't

I read the full report in the paper edition. Pretty damning stuff, really. That said, I think the English government is getting it approximately right now, the Scottish government somewhat better. There are no building sites working in Scotland apart from hospital building and renovation. In England, building sites are working “to keep the public safe”. In other words, carry on as normal. Along with the cement suppliers, scaffolding workers, and back along the chain. Essential work my arse.

One place I would not like to live is London. That’s the UK epicentre of the disease and idiocy.

When we walked around the paths around the edge of the Estate on Wednesday we saw at least a dozen lorries all with some sort of building materials on them. The walk was only 15 mins long , and the estate is not big.

Fibre optic cable layers continuing to work outside my house and along our road, not observing any social distancing. Essential? Not really, I'm sure they could hold off for a few weeks - it's for superfast BB, I already have Virgin fibre BB at 100 mbps, I can live without 1000 mbps for a few weeks! 😱 🙂
