2.5 weeks since diagnosis, also was diagnosed with anaemia at same time and put on iron last week, blurry eyes have gone and I feel fantastic ( and the suns shining), todai I can take on the world and realise just how bad I've been feeling for how long.... Gonna pop into boots this pm and treat myself to some fake tan :D

Glad to hear that you're feeling so much better. Enjoy the sun🙂

Sure, don't get burned, but being outdoors in sunshine is so good for boosting vitamin D reserves, feeling better, getting active etc.
Even getting washing out on line for solar drying in garden makes me feel better and I'll be cycling to deliver aluminium cans to scrap metal dealer for a small amount of cash and collecting hawthorn leaves for my "pet" caterpillars after eating. Only indoors now to write a couple of articles for work.

It is great when you feel so well, I hope you stay well.

You go, girl! Rock the world! :D

Wonderful news, very happy to hear it! I was similar after my diagnosis, after probably living with high levels for a couple of years and after I'd got used to most of the side effects of the tablets, you really don't realise how much it is affecting your life until you are able to start making the changes that will bring those levels down - long may it continue for you! 🙂

When I saw the doc this morning, he said that now that my levels are coming down, I'll feel so much better and I do. I think before diagnosis I had a lot of sinus problems and they seem to be much better now as well. I would never have guessed that high sugar levels would have caused so much havoc. I'm learning something new each day and probably well controlled diabetecs are a damn sight healthier than those non diabetics who are so...oooo patronising.

Donna 🙂
