Backwards contact tracing makes a lot of sense. 'Where did you get it from?' being more important than 'Who have you seen since?' (unless you are the superspreader).

I don't know how long any lockdown will go on, but at the end if you don't have an effective contact tracing system in place, it will be a waste of time. England doesn't, of course, because England has Dido Harding running it; she has the worst management record of anyone appointed by the government in any job she has had. Utterly incompetent.
