PLYMOUTH has the most regular swimmers out of anywhere in Devon, a new survey says.
The league table, published by Diabetes UK using Sport England data, Plymouth came top in the county with 8.85 per cent of people saying they swim once a week or more.
North Devon came in second whilst East Devon was in third place.
Diabetes UK has published the league table as it launches its Swim 22 challenge, in which participants swim 22 miles – equivalent to the shortest crossing of the English Channel – at their local pool over the course of three months.
