OTTAWA ? Like many nine-year-old boys, Jason Moorhouse sleeps, eats and dreams hockey.
On the ice, Jason is one of the minor atom A Rideau St. Lawrence Kings? top point producers, and his coach, Steve White, calls him a natural goal-scorer.
On the bench, Jason is a dream to coach.
?He hangs on every word you say,? says White. ?He eats it all up because he genuinely wants to be there and learn more about the game.?
In the dressing room, White says the young boy is one of the most positive members of the team. Jason is always smiling, never complains and makes it fun for all of the players to come to games ? even to those dreaded early morning practices.
However, while he may seem like your typical hockey-obsessed boy, the average day for Jason is not so average.
