I have TWO friends off T2 meds. One an ex soldier & a fit kid, but he retired & got out of shape. But walks his dog & eats better. Thanks Martin 🙂

I’ve never been able to exercise in the formal sense due to severe arthritis but I’ve never been on meds. It’s not just about exercise...diet, state of the pancreas/residual insulin sensitivity and other issues prevail too.

I know very fit people who can’t get off meds. We can only do what we can and genetics, diet and what’s left of our pancreatic function will decide the rest.

I count myself so fortunate that I have the ability to increase my exercise & get into a great shape and come off of meds.... I read the stories of our members who don't have this luxury & my heart really reaches out for them:(

Yes agree Martin.

We had someone post recently about not being able to achieve the results of others.

I used to think nothing of a 5 mile walk. Now I struggle with 10 yards. Fortunately, no matter how much I exercised, I’d still be Type 1. I’ve got my dumbbells, so at least I can pack a punch🙂

I can exercise though being a lazy old so & so, don't do as much as I should, but also don't need to lose weight though being fitter would be nice. Wife is overweight but can't exercise to to severe arthritis in virtually every joint & she is putting on weight at an impossible rate (10kg a month) despite living on the same diet as me, but this is mot likely due to her meds. I really worry about her weight gain and really don't know what can be done about it.
