Hi Minniehaha
You shouldn’t feel ashamed a lot of us have had the same emotional response, you are doing great to get your levels down. Good luck with your scan results.
Just a thought
I was wondering have they done a Islet Cell Antibodies to confirm you are not type 1?
Its just you sound very similar to myself except I suffered from Hyperthyroidism after block and replace treatment mine went back into remission for 10 years before it came back with a vegence.
Both hypothyriodism and type 1 are both autoimnue deseases one is often associated with the other this is why my GP carried out Islet cell antibody test which came back as type 1. I am convinced that because my BMI puts me as over weight they would of just labelled me type 2 If I wanst waiting for my thyroid to be removed at the time.
If you havent had a TSH test in over a year it would be worth having one.
What I have learnt the NHS is if you don’t ask you don’t get and there is no such thing as a stupid question.
