A book by Dr Rangan Chatterjee, a GP who decided to try and treat people by suggesting lifestyle changes instead of prescribing medication.
The book is not aimed at diabetics in particular but a lot of it is good sound advice for anyone wishing to improve their health and well being
The 4 Pillars are Relax, Eat, Move, Sleep.
He suggest such things as daily micro fasts, unprocessing your diet, eating a rainbow of fruit and vegetables, eating healthy fats, amongst a host of other things, a lot of which may be second nature to some diabetics. It sets goals for you to try to achieve while changing your lifestyle, one is De-normalise sugar(retrain your taste buds)
He talks of Autophagy, Circadian Rhythms and points out that a lot of people are overfed but undernourished.
Not a cheap book but I managed to find it in the library.
