A TEENAGER from Barnstaple has described the moment she was diagnosed with diabetes as “terrifying”.
Lauren Brewer, 13, said she knew “something was wrong” just before doctors diagnosed her with Type 1 diabetes two years ago.
Now she has to endure insulin injections every time she eats and has to test her blood throughout the day.
Lauren said: “The day I was diagnosed with diabetes was terrifying. We had known something was wrong but I had no idea what.
