Just started injecting my levemir this morning when I realised that I had dialled up 25 units instead of 10! fortunately I'd only injected 2 units when I realised what I had done.

I have a fear of doing something like this, it's so easy to not really concentrate isn't it? I like my new novopen echo because I can check my last dose - I often do my jabs on auto-pilot and then think "er what did I just inject?" Glad you realised in time!

Thank you everyone. I think it was because I'd had the first proper nights sleep in ages so came downstairs in a daze.....picked up the pen and mistakenly went to do my night time dose🙄 considering what has happened recently I think my OH was rather worried when I said that I'd gone to give myself too much insulin.....I'm now smiling about it🙂

It's one of those things that is serious at the time, especially when we know the consequences, but we can laugh about later. I'm glad you are Ok and realised what was happening in time.

You wouldn't be human if you didn't occasionally make a mistake. My husband would have given me a lecture on Must Concentrate ! so doubt if I'd have told him ....
