Been putting this off for ages now since Feb really, but the tingling in my finger ends is becoming unbearable it travels to my wrist to sometimes i cant even hold my phone to my ear for 5 minutes or hold my fork, its worse when im at work, i could be cleaning the dishwasher out or simply peeling potatoes and the same shooting pains occur, ive already got neuropathy in my feet so will wait to see what doc says, oh my appt is Friday the 13th teehee.

My husband used to have that and his whole hand used to go numb but he had an operation a few years ago to free the nerve and it's fine now.

Hi Steff, how long since you were diagnosed? Are you just on the diet and exercise regime

Hi Steff it possibly could be carpal tunnel syndrome I had that in both of my hands and it was sorted out with an operation on each hand using local anaesthertic. I didn't have much pain but would wake up in the mornings with my hands numb - they felt as if I had slept on them. During the day there was tingling and it felt difficult to pick up things such as coins etc

Cheers Amanda it does sound similier yeah

Good luck with the doctor. Although people have operations to realease the trapped nerve, it is also helped sometimes by physiotherapy and support for the wrists. I hope all goes well.

Me too. An operation is the worst that can happen, but will bring relief. Lots of people who get the physio keep the exercises going for a while after the problem has cleared up just to be safe.

I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in both wrists but the left is the worst.

The numbness and tingling are common symptoms. I recently had to have a steroid injection in my left wrist to help alleviate the symptoms.

It is more common in diabetics as well.

Hope you get it sorted soon Steff.
