Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Well so far this year I have been struggling with my levels, they have been so hard to control, and finally I am starting to control my diabetes!

Things got bad and almost out of control where I was so used to high levels and I actually got used to feeling so bad and thought I would never feel good ever again!!

It is unbelievable that when your levels climb so slowly over time it changes your mood and you think that this is how it is and you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Within one year of being diagnosed t2 I was on tablets and now insulin....the last 2 months was like being diagnosed all over again after being told I need to inject insulin...but you no what?....it has saved my life.....and I mean that! it really has! it has brought down my levels and I feel born again!
I now have energy!....I feel happy for no reason!....I feel like the old me :0)

For me my diabetes took a slow approach this year and I did not notice the effects until now I have it under control....and to say I have it under control is a fantastic feeling!!

Anyone who has just been diagnosed with diabetes and is reading this...there truly is light at the end of the tunnel!!!.

Do not give up and always ask for help and advise from everyone on this website!

This website has so many wonderful people with so much knowledge that can and WILL help you through your journey...you are not alone 🙂

I am not good with words but I bow and thank everyone on this forum for your help....you are all truly wonderful and think of all the good you have done for people like me.

In short THANKYOU EVERYONE 🙂

Don't forget to give yourself a pat on the back during the love-fest - YOU LISTENED AND TOOK HEED! Well done. :D

You're more than welcome Ant, great to hear you are feeling so much better 🙂 I was the same when I first got given insulin in hospital - hadn't realised how bad I felt until I suddenly felt like my old self again! 🙂

I don't know about being short on words, you have summed up every thing brilliantly. 🙂 🙂

Hope your battles in future get less and less and test strip situation resolves itself, which at the moment I think is your big obstacle in maintaining your new state.

Well done :D have to agree the forum and its members have been a great help. 🙂

Onward and upward!

Glad to see you are feeling so positive Ant. 🙂 As others have said a lot of it is down to you, you have listened and heeded the advice given.
