I just read a post in another diabetes forum that just pissed me off. A newly diagnosed diabetic was asking how they handle a thanksgiving meal. Somebody had the nerve to comment that they need to skip thanksgiving because eating a traditional thanksgiving meal could cause them to lose. Limb, their eyesight or their kidneys. W*F!! It’s one meal. When I was diagnosed my endo and educator told me I could eat whatever I wanted as long as I learn how to take my insulin. Accounrding to this girl, we can’t live normal lives like everyone else?

So I’m here to tell you..eat whatever you want, just make sure to take your insulin.
