Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I have posted a couple of times in here since being diagnosed with diabetes in December. I had gestational diabetes in pregnancy and my mother and grandmother had type 2 so my diagnosis wasn’t a massive surprise but still upsetting.

I was prescribed metformin and given a blood glucose monitor. Taking on the advice from here I tested my bg quite frequently. This really helped me to find out what was impacting my bg the most.

I also received some great advice and support on here a few weeks ago when I was upset with some rogue high bg readings.

I received the results of my first blood test since diagnosis and i’m very happy to say it has dropped to 53. I’m absolutely over the moon to know I am on the right track. Thank you for your support and advice.

Hi @shawdb, that's great to hear - well done on your results!

It really helps to see progress and gather information by using a meter, and it's good that you were given one 🙂 You're certainly on the right track!

Well done @shawdb Great start!

Well done @shawdb
You have obviously found some strategies that work for you, and are already having a positive impact. A great start.

Ah that’s great to hear @shawdb

Thanks for letting us know, and well done for all the effort you’ve put in and the changes you have made. Congratulations on your reduced A1c 🙂

That is great news.
Well done.
