Thank goodness for the Libre 2

2.15am Libre 2 alarmed. I finger pricked and it confirmed 4.3 and I had 2 small cans of sugary Coke
The same happened around 3.15am so I repeated.
Then again at 4.15ish repeated again plus this time I significantly reduced my basal by nearly half on the pump for a few hours.
This morning I am 5.3 despite the 90 carbs of sugary Coke and no idea why it happened. Weather was fairly cool. Carb counting accurate and dinner was ravioli with two slices of garlic bread. I guess it must be the stooopid Gastroparesis.
im just so thankful that the Libre 2 kept waking me up.

It's great that we now have such terrific technology available - hopefully, it has given you a lot of reassurance 🙂 The next step for Abbott is to get the Libre to explain why it happened! 🙂

So sorry to hear about all the alarms that kept going off but as you say "thank goodness for the libre 2". Yummy for the ravioli and the garlic bread - was it all homemade?

Don’t you just hate those hypo’s that won’t take the hint and skedaddle .

Thanks everyone. The BG certainly didn’t react the way I expected stayed good for the rest of the day. i Was going to say maybe because it was a fairly small portion but it was 70 carbs so actually not small.

Gill I have to confess that it was out of packets. But the next evening Mark cooked a delicious dinner from scratch that included Seabass and scallops with asparagus wrapped in Parma ham with Hasselback potatoes. That was delicious.

I'd like my Libre to speak with the accent of Rene from Allo Allo - as it tells me 'You stupid woman!' (- in fact in my dreams - the vision of Matt Hancock telling the British public, 'Could you not see I was comforting the poor girl after her Euro lottery ticket did not win?' or similar .... ) 🙂
