Hi
Just wondering as I'm new to this as Type 2 should I be testing every morning ? After reading on the forums this seem to be the answer. Doctor or nurse never mentioned this.

Hi Evie - answer is yes 🙂. Personally I test after getting up, washed & dressed but I know other people here test immediately they wake up.

Hi Evie. A lot of Diabetic nurses don't believe Type 2's need to test, which is stupid because you need to know what foods spike you or not. I test 6 times a day, before food & 2 hours afterwards. I don't really need to test as much as that now, but i'm building up my HbA1c prediction on the mySugr app.🙂

Being T2 you really need to test before breakfast, lunch, dinner and bed. You must know whats going on so you can report back to doctor or nurse.

And testing 2 hours after meals as well of course, so that you can compare results. Once you know what foods are good for you, you can stop testing those.
