@Annette&Bertie I am so with you in spirit! I did 3 dog walks a day, walked to the shops, enjoyed walking around the countryside in The Cotswolds whenever I could. Since January I have progressed from a wheelchair to hobbling round the house on crutches. My weight has gone up by c26lb and I hate it. I think I’m struggling with acceptance of my new life style and food needs but I need to just get on with it. I know there are many, many people much worse off particularly this year, but that doesn’t always help does it?
I agree although we all realize there is always someone worse, on a day to day basis in reality we only think about how awful it is for us. This is just human nature.

I so wish I could get the ME back of even five years ago.

Martin
On reading through your list it is exactly as my own, the only difference is that I never eat meat of any kind with the exception of chicken, and in addition fish and shellfish, fresh and tinned tuna.

Also, I eat a lot of fruit as we’ve discussed previously. I don’t eat apples, pears and oranges, I never have, but I eat all the berries, kiwi, melon in its various varieties, and mango. For snacks, I’ll have eggs or unsalted nuts or a sandwich. Any bread I have is wholemeal.

I think one of the things I would say is that something is ok if you’re not having it every meal, or every day. An example of this is that I only have a sandwich or toast once a week, similarly with potatoes, then only small ones.

@Annette&Bertie, My fingers are crossed for you to have an easier time, does the colder weather make it worse? Roll on more daylight and warmer times!
I can’t take the heat, winter is my favourite time of year, what makes it worse is damp weather, the barometric pressure too.

Potatoes - only if we're having a roast on a Sunday in which case I'll have a couple of small roasties, otherwise I don't have them in any form.

Milk - semi-skimmed, but only in my tea. I like my tea strong so I don't even put a lot in.

Martin
Thanks for that, much appreciated
