Testing before driving

My drive to work literally takes 10 minutes. I'm afraid I am most definitely not a morning person and getting to work for 8 is a struggle for me - I am on of those roll out of bed into clothes and out the door types. I test as soon as I wake up and am probably out the door within about 15 mins, next test is when I get to work before I have my breakfast! If I wake up low I am guaranteed to be late for work but luckily my boss is very understanding
Are you on insulin Emma ? It says you are T2

I now always test when I get in the car. It has become automatic.

I had relied on earlier tests a long while ago, but like @trophywench I had a surprise hypo. I was between appointments, and had a 30 min drive to do. I had just eaten a quick lunch, before which I was 6.0. Logic said no need to test. I set off, and when I arrived at my destination I was 3.2! I did feel a bit weird, but I was sure I could not be hypo for reasons above. There was no logic for the hypo, but it scared me. Now I always test when I get in the car.

If My journey is essential, I am working to a deadline, picking others up, ... I will also test 1 hr before driving, so that if hypo I can sort it and then I can wait the 45 min before driving.
